You will source and review proposals for design services from consultants; arrange for surveys and inspection of project sites; and manage all contract and project administration, including budgets. You will also play an important role with traffic matters including conducting traffic studies and managing requests for street closures around special events, parades, and other community events.
Lastly, you will provide support to the Town’s partners and agencies through shared services agreements.
As the ideal candidate, you have a degree in civil engineering or you are in the advanced stages of your EIT training. Experience in municipal operations and infrastructure is preferred. Your communication skills must be well developed as you will frequently prepare written and oral reports to Council, the CAO, Directors, and the public. You should also have knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, budgeting and business planning, quality management, and human resource management.
