Client Services Supervisor – DASC

Dartmouth Adult Services Centre (DASC) is a social enterprise that provides employment supports, vocational, recreational and leisure opportunities for adults with an intellectual disability and supports them in realizing their individual potential. They do this by providing a range of products and services to businesses throughout the Dartmouth region. On their behalf, we are seeking a Client Services Supervisor who will provide direction in program development and ensure all services are delivered with high standards of care.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will facilitate the admission and discharge of individuals in the program, in accordance with DASC’s policies and procedures, including maintaining and updating the admissions wait list on a regular basis. You will be deeply involved in service evaluation and planning; specifically assessing the quality and effectiveness of client services and recommending changes that are in keeping with current trends.

As part of the Program team, you will ensure that individual vocational plans promote development of the individual and fully consider their individual needs and interests. As part of DASC’s emphasis on professional development, you will promote the organization as a training facility for students studying in the field of Human Services and work closely with the ED to coordinate staff development through in-services and training programs.

As communication is an important value within the organization, you will liaise regularly with all stakeholders including employees, families, advocates, customers, governmental agencies and the general public. Additionally, as a key player on the senior team, you will play an important role in the long-term business planning of the organization.

As the ideal candidate for this important role, you have deep experience working with people who have intellectual disabilities. You interact easily with people from all walks of life and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Administratively, you bring a blend of financial, human resources, client service and programming expertise to this opportunity. Personally, you bring energy, creativity, inclusivity and, most important, sensitivity and respect to those with intellectual disabilities.
