Our client, Halifax-based clothing designer and manufacturer 180 Moda, has fused fashion and technology to change the global garment industry. Using body scanning to produce custom designed clothes that also fit perfectly irrespective of body shape or size, 180 Moda is now broadening beyond its traditional consumer clientele to supply some of Canada’s largest employers. And with more corporates in new sectors poised to come on board, the company is experiencing exponential growth – and looking for smart, hardworking people to grow with it.
Reporting directly to the president, you’ll meet with her first thing most mornings to help her plan her day and manage her priorities; communicate effectively externally and internally; and to coordinate her meetings and travel. You’ll meet and greet visitors to the company’s North End headquarters and deal daily with administrative and operational tasks such as invoicing. And on her behalf, you’ll also be responsible for the successful implementation of the company’s marketing and operational strategies across Canada. This is a new role and is likely to require additional duties.
The ideal candidate
An experienced EA (three consecutive years minimum), you’ll be defined by your common sense, creativity, collaborative skills and your ability to communicate in writing and in person. A pro-active self-starter and a high performing problem solver, you’ll also boast exceptional organizational skills that allow you to make the most of each minute of the working day. You’ll be proficient with MS Office and have experience with invoicing and basic bookkeeping. French would be an asset but isn’t a requirement. Always eager to go the extra mile to get the job done, you’ll be prepared to work outside of office hours when necessary. And, perhaps most importantly, you’ll be ambitious enough to uncover how the company works – then work your way up into a management role as our client grows. A genuine interest in fashion would be an advantage.
