The Landscape of Grand Pré was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2012. The Landscape of Grand Pré Corporation has been established to manage this World Heritage Site with a mandate to ensure the conservation, protection and interpretation of its unique cultural landscape.
On their behalf, we are seeking an Executive Director who will also serve as the Site Management Coordinator of the World Heritage Site.
In this role, you will report to the Corporation’s Board of Directors and have overall responsibility for managing the World Heritage Site, including ensuring that all standards and guidelines within the management plan are met. You will also provide administration and Board support such as supervising staff, contractors and volunteers, managing finances and budgets, and business planning. Lastly, you will oversee all external relations including community engagement, relationships with the media, partners, various levels of government, and agencies.
As the ideal candidate, you possess appropriate academic credentials, ideally at the master’s level, and have experience managing heritage conservation and interpretation projects. Your language capabilities in French and English are at Level C of the federal government standards.
As you will be the main interface with the Board of Directors, you are up-to-date on governance models. In this capacity, you must be able to work closely with the Board and its committees in policy development, business planning, and strategic direction. Operationally, you have broad experience managing finances, budgets, contracts, people, partnerships, and media.
