The Better Business Bureau is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing marketplace trust and ethics. There are more than 100 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in Canada and the United States.
On behalf of Better Business Bureau Serving the Atlantic Provinces, we are looking for someone who epitomizes the values, integrity and professionalism of the organization to serve as its President and CEO.
In this role, you must bring a unique blend of leadership attributes, management skills and personal qualities to the table.
As a leader, you provide that vision, strategic thinking and planning to make things happen. As a manager, you understand how an organization runs operationally and are skilful in all functional areas including member services, government relations, finances, human resources, administration, and public relations.
Personally, your communication and negotiation skills are well-developed and your collaborative and consultative approach to conducting business is very much respected. You also set example for staff in your own behavior and in how you coach and mentor them to achieve their personal goals.
Ideally, you have proven experience in both the corporate and not-for-profit sector. You have worked with a Board of Directors and bring a deep understanding of governance issues including the relationship between staff and elected volunteers. As the face to the organization, you have a strong client orientation which will be highly valued as you build and maintain constructive relationships with members throughout the region.
