Our client, Turner Drake & Partners Ltd., is the leading firm of real estate consultants, counsellors and brokers in Atlantic Canada. Its success over 38 years has been driven by its innovative approach to solving real estate-related problems, by long-term client relationships built on trust, and – above all – by its careful and consistent investment in its people and systems. On their behalf, we are seeking an experienced sales professional to join their commercial real estate team.
In this role, you will attract and represent buyers and sellers of commercial real estate across Atlantic Canada. Working as part of a close-knit and collegiate brokerage team, you will use your relationship skills to persuade prospects to list commercial properties, market these properties widely and then liaise with potential buyers to complete each sale. Likewise, you might work with purchasers, representing them as they identify and conclude commercial real estate purchases.
You’ll need a business degree (preferably a B. Comm), a minimum of five consecutive years in real estate (preferably in commercial real estate sales or leasing) as well as a Nova Scotia real estate sales licence. You’ll have a good working knowledge of the Atlantic Canadian marketplace, specifically commercial real estate, and you already know most of the major buyers and sellers. You must have a demonstrable track record of prospecting, including cold calling, and be a proven negotiator and sales person with some formal sales training.
Personally, you have a genuine interest in people. You are a great team player, good listener, an excellent networker, and comfortable conversing with everyone whether CEOs, mechanics, construction workers or business owners. From a sales point of view, you build relationships easily, can recognize and close a lead, and negotiate with skill and confidence. Meanwhile, you’ll also be tech-savvy enough to engage with tools such as GIS systems and sophisticated databases to ensure national and global reach. And above all, you’re trustworthy and defined by your integrity.
This is a salaried position with a highly competitive remuneration package that includes a pension contribution and other significant benefits.
